My "Begleithundpruefung"
After passing the Team Test in November 2001 it was about time I made my "Begleithundpruefung". That time came in April 2002. Mistress was very nervous since we had frost in the morning. Nothing spectacular happened though since the morning frost vanished without my help.

At "sit from movement" I laid down. You should have seen her face when she stopped and turned around. A mixture from shock, anger, disappointment and disbelieve. I was very impressed by it (she had never looked at me like that) and stayed down when she said "heel". Just to be on the safe side. But I melted under her longing stare and went with her in the end.
During the exercise "drop on recall" I stayed rooted to the spot until Mistress called "Niiikita". Like a rocket I shot towards her. My brakes functioned this time, but I careened into her legs. When I was on the leash again I had to do the "down and stay under distraction". I got the command down. Mistress went some space away and I knew I had to stay but damn it, something was biting me. So I had to get up and change to a different spot. Nobody would have noticed but our trial was filmed. The judge did not see it.
In his appraisal the judge said he had seen a "happily working dog ..." After that he still recounted what I had not done well. The end was "we will meat again at the street part". There is nothing to write about the street part. As a "city dog" there are no pitfalls there.
We passed our "Begleithundpruefung" but Mistress was not satisfied. She threatened me we would do it again some time. Well she has not made the threat come true till this day and we can start our Agility Trials now ...
