My 4th Show in Aachen-Laurensberg / Germany, March 2003
Very early in the morning of March 30th 2003 we drove to Aachen-Laurensberg for my 4th show. I was the lone contester in my class that day. Mistress still got the shakes (I really can´t say why), but she is slowly doing better.
Being the only one in my class I entered the ring alone. So we made a couple of rounds all by our selves. After that I presented my self, being very intend on my job. The judge felt me down and checked my teeth.
My concentration could not be broken. Not even when the judge wanted to show my eyes to his assistant. He clicked his tong like mad, but I had no interest for him. It took Mistress to make me follow her finger for the assistant to understand the phrase "with a fierce gaze ...".
When the judge had finished dictating his report he shook Mistress´s hand saying "we will see each other in a moment". He awarded me the judgement excellent 1 (want to read the judges statement?) which meant we were to enter the ring again with all the other exellent 1 girls later. It also meant our second gain of points for the CACIB of KDH and the title "Winner of Europe". Mistress was besides her self. The judge did not have to award the exellent 1 just because I was the only one competing in that class.
We won the next group of exellent 1 girls. I was afraid Mistress would faint from happiness. In the end I became second best dog in show. Mistress and Master carried two trophies and the judges statement to the car. I had to drag my treat-filled tummy behind ...
