My 3rd Show in Castrop-Rauxel / Germany, October 2002
My 3rd show was in Castrop-Rauxel in October 2002. There were 4-5 other girls competing in the open class and I was not the lone blue-merle.
The timing is the same for every show. First everyone trots the ring together, then seperatedly. Every dog in felt down (which show the judge also if the dog is afraid or aggressive) and the teeth are checked. Since it was the same this time I presented myself (even better than the last time).
We have been standing quiet some time and the judge felt each of us several times. He went past every dog and looked at our profiles from both sides. He even looked from above. He did not look underneath. ;-)
I was standing there like a melting ice sculpture (I was drooling for my treat). I forgot everything around me and locked my eyes on Mistress. She told me all the time how good I did. I slowly wagged my tale to show her I understood. When I take on a job then I do it right.
As one might guess it was no easy decision for the judge (he told us so later). He also said that only one could hold the first place. I was judged excellent 1B that day (want to read the judges statement?) and was awarded the title "Winner Ruhr Area".
The judge had with his 1B given out two first places (more or less) and I also earned my first points toward the CACIB of the KDH. Mistress was so very happy we jumped through the ring together. She told me time and again how wonderful I had done and that she was proud. At long last I got my treat and Mistress her judges statement and a trophy.
