My 2nd Show in Dortmund / Germany, May 2002
When Mistress had read several books on conformation shows my 2nd show was 1.5 years later in Dortmund.
This time we competed in the "open class" and I don´t know how many hours we trained the "energetic trot". We also trained "stand" and "stand correctly".
I was in the ring with 4 more girls. One red-tri and 3 black-tri. Minding our starting-number we went into place behind the red-tri. We all rounded the ring a couple of times. That way the judge could see us all in movement. Afterwards we made a line and the judge could really look at us. I presented my self nicely and (as always) had eyes only for Mistress.
The judge then asked every team to run around the ring alone and the present themselves at the judge´s table. That we did and I presented myself at the table. I stood like rooted and waited. I jumped a little when the judge touched me. I was so busy standing nicely for Mistress that I had forgotten my surroundings ...
He became (in my eyes) a bit harsh and pressed my but down when I did not sit immediately for him. I don´t listen to everybody ... When I sat he look at my teeth. I was happy when we were allowed to go back in line. After examining everybody closely he had one more look at all of us. His mind was made up and he awarded me a "very good 4" (want to read the judges statement?). The judge had nothing to say to my discipline in the ring and I think I did a good job. Again there was praise and treats for me and the judges statement for Mistress.
