How "it" beganOn Friday (08.21.04)after our Thursday training, I went down the stairs really carefully and could not really move otherwise as well. I did not want to or could not jump into the car either ... Mistress was very concerned. She went to work that day but took half a day of to go to the vet with me. The vet saw that my back was hurting me, gave me some painkillers and prescribed an Agility break. I took the pills for 5 days and I was feeling good two days later already. But we still took a break from the Agility training. After two weeks we went to the training on Thursday and I jumped like a goddess. Mistress watched me with Argus´s Eyes and was relieved to see me moving normally the next morning. The next Saturday we went to the training again and again I was watched with Argus´s Eyes. Mistress was scared and concerned when I did not want to jump into the car after the training. Again I climbed the stairs slowly and moved hesitantly ... Though it was not as bad as the first time Mistress gave me another half pill. Sunday I was fit as always but Mistress did still call the vet who thought we should "get to the bottom of this". Mistress made an appointment with a different vet on Thursday who said that I was not cramped and my back was completely OK ... Mistress insisted on x-raying my spinal cord (I did not need to be narcotized). On this pictures one can see that my spinal roof is slightly lowered and hurts when my hindquarters are under strain (says the vet). Both of "our" vets gave different advice. I was then (and still am) without pain or otherwise handicapped. But Mistress was insecure and concerned. To find out what was the cause of my intermitted back pain once and for all we made two appointments with the Veterinary University in Hannover (09.20/21.04).
