What now ?!I think that I was lucky in my doom. A discprotrusion can be much worth that what I am or better was experiencing (I am pain free now) ... Mistress had always said that she would bring me to the vet immediately should I one day not want to jump. She did never believe this day would come ... It really is no problem for me to give up Agility though I really liked it. That does not mean that I will mutate into a "couch potato" - My re-aducation into an Obedience dog has already started. We will work on building up my muscles (don´t I have enough already?). That means I will regularly swim. Since swimming would not be good at these temperatures (it is the end of September) we will go the Physiotherapy to Dortmund in winter. There they have a water treadmill. Everything else stays the same. Okay I am lifted in and out of the car. Mistress watches that I don´t jump up and down so much when I am happy, but she can´t stop me from doing that at completely. I also get a supplement in my food containing mussle concentrate and I have a new favourite treat: Gelantine Flummis. If those supplements really do anything I don´t know, but they don´t hurt ... The world does not end with a disc protrusion. At least not for us !!! I don´t want to play this illness down, but I think that if one knows early on what is wrong (of course you need an exact diagnosis for that), and one exercises the dog accordently not a lot changes.
I believe our early visit at the vet and the University in Hannover kept worse things from happening.
